You’ll have peace
Every time I fell for this word, I got slapped in the face. And it took me more slaps before I got it.
You see, that’s the problem with people like me who have a sensitive heart. We think that everyone is kind and generous. We believe that everyone wants the best for us.
We live in this dream world that most people will be there for us because we are looking at others in reflection of who we are as a person, but that’s the wrong way of seeing others.
Expectations
By all means, assassin expectations from others. If you don’t, it will destroy you. When I wrote my book, I held this high level of expectations from those close to me to show their support in promoting one of my weight-loss journey eBooks.
To my surprise, a lot of them didn’t give a sh*t. It robbed my mental health — I was in a total rot mess!
It hurts. It sucks. Welcome to the reality of placing expectations on others. The moment I shifted my mindset, never to expect anything from others, and only put my expectations on the abundance of God’s blessings, it was a game-changer for me. Avoid the crap I went through and start expecting less from others, you can thank me later.
