Marry The Character, Not The Resume

People deserve chances.

I married a man who divorced twice.

Most people told me what the hell I was thinking?

Here’s the golden rule:

People deserve chances.

People’s history doesn’t define who they are.

Marry someone for their character, not their resume.

Looks, fame, all that will never beat a beautiful character.

You should never judge someone’s past.

And sometimes, those with the most struggles go on to create an incredible life.

This December will mark 15 years of being married.

I was gifted to be a parent to eight beautiful kids and one on the way.

I wouldn’t change a single thing about my choice.

I’d choose him a thousand lifetimes again over someone who had a clean past.

His love for God and his passion for bringing happiness to countless lives outweighed all the odds that stood against him.
